Art Sunday; Partarrieu
This is the work of contemporary Basque artist Mattin-laurent Partarrieu
Depends what you call weird Kevin..............if by weird you mean you drool after sexy women...........yep yr weird, if by weird you mean you are somehow different to other men...............nope yr right on track there my friend. On a slightly more serious note, I get the impression this chap likes women, I mean really likes them not in any sort of undesirable way he just enjoys women. One the other hand, he doesn't much seem to like men. If you look at the paintings you will see what I mean, the women are beautifully drawn in sensitive clear crisp lines, they have flawless skin and blemish free faces. The men on the other hand all look slightly disheveled and crumpled. The lines of the drawings are not so crisp, they are messy, the colours are also messy and a little 'muddy' looking, whereas the colours on the women are bright and clear. Then look at their faces, the men are full of wrinkles, lines and oddities, the mens faces are not pleasant to look at. Maybe this is me reading too much into it all .................just the way it seems to me.

I think this is my favourite, just because of the way the woman is drawn. I think this is a beautiful drawing, lovely lines and nice crisp sharp colour. for my own tastes I could do with out the disheveled man looking on but then thats just how I would prefer to see it. I especially like the way he has drawn the womans feet and hands.....................lovely.
I loved them all. I like action.....in paintings. There seems to be more than a bit of movement going on. The women are devine....the men not so...perhaps this was to be viewed only by men at some point? Nevertheless, I like them.
wow he is a sort of modern Toulouse la trek he is really good
