Sunset over my garden

Another evening spent in the garden. This time I managed to clear out my shed, boring I know but sometimes these things have to be done. The highlight of my day so far was the sunset. Would you believe this was taken at 10.40.................night folks  :-)

The view from my window

Every evening I sit here at my computer desk under the window. As I check emails, read blogs, write blogs, download photos  or any of the other things I do sitting here, I look out of the window and watch as the the sun sinks out of view. My tomato plants turn into  silhouettes on the windowsill and the sky goes pink and orange. It has never occurred to me  to actually photograph the sun as it sets in the window. Its almost 10 and still not quite dark.

Winter Sunset over the sea

On Friday (28/11/08) I finished my work a coupler of hours early. The weather was bitterly cold but dry and without wind. For the first time in months I managed to take one of my favourite walks along the cliff top. I didn't walk too far, just in case the weather changed the sea mists (or the haar as it is called here) came swirling in. The haar comes in very quickly and without warning and makes the cliff top walk treacherous. I was also mindful of the time, the afternoons are short here at this time of year and the sun was very low by 3.00pm. The pink light reflects on every thing, it is just as beautiful here this time of year as it is in the summer, a different kind of beauty.
