Just watched a programme called ...''Tea Party America''

wow.............kinda speechless, The lunatics are taking over, guess I now know what all the fuss is about.
OMG, would I just love to get started on those nutbags. Lines blur between their ignorance, stupidity and lies. What no one in the political arena and news media is willing to say is that all of this "Take our country back" BS is because we have a black president. The white middle class is shrinking to be the minority in the US and they don't like it one bit. It took Bush and Cheney and their wars eight years to put us where we are and those people go ballistic because Obama didn't clean it up in 18 months.
This is an interesting read. It's about what I, & I'm sure that others have already perceived. The Tea Party & the GOP are the same.
To me, it was if the GOP had selected the most ignorant, uninformed, inarticulate, uneducated, stupid & bigoted & promoted them with bottomless coffers to appeal to the most ignorant, uninformed, inarticulate, uneducated, stupid & bigoted.
The Mad Hatter's Party is overflowing & bursting at the seams. Which means the majority of Americans are: Ignorant, uninformed......oh, never mind."
Frank, you're right about "people go ballistic because Obama didn't clean it up in 18 months." But, we don't really have a middle class anymore.

They certainly are IDIOTS! Unfortunately, I think they represent a very large part of the country. But, the idiots are..I believe...& others do as well, puppets of the GOP, which means the House & Senate is likely to be controlled by the GOP. After eight years of crime & carnage, (GWB), there won't be any hope at all. The Republicans have shelved 375 bills that would have helped the people. These are the five that passed, & who favoured them:
The situation is similar here, the actual percentages are not so bad but the principle is the same, these figures are from the UK. The bit I fail to understand every time is why are the people who are exploited and left with so little often the same people who support the policies and political parties that perpetuate the inequalities and injustices........that bit is the real puzzle to me
And then consider this; THE POOREST 50% OF POPULATION SHARE ONLY 7% OF THE WEALTH AND IT’S THOSE 50% OF POPULATION WHO OWN ONLY 7% OF THE WEALTH WHO ARE BEING TARGETED BY THE MASSIVE PUBLIC SPENDING CUTS.
This is the U.S.: In terms of types of financial wealth, the top one percent of households have 38.3% of all privately held stock, 60.6% of financial securities, and 62.4% of business equity. The top 10% have 80% to 90% of stocks, bonds, trust funds, and business equity, and over 75% of non-home real estate. Since financial wealth is what counts as far as the control of income-producing assets, we can say that just 10% of the people own the United States of America.
As to what puzzles you, this is a comment I made in another group:

From my psychological point of view (that I always include): These are the sort of people who, in their excitement, forget to lock their doors when the circus comes to town. The more bizarre the circus, the more attracted they are, & the longer they stay.
What a surprise when they discover their home has been vandalized, & they have to clean up after the circus...manure & all.
But, they'll forget that, too, when the next circus comes around."
I stand corrected because I said that no one in the media would say that race is an issue in the tea party movement of 'take back our country.' Someone did say it today and it was published.
