January weekend in the Angus countryside

I think I have already posted some of these in a blog, but here is the complete set. This was a very cold but very pretty weekend in January. The last one is a little sketch i did sitting by the side of a river, (in my friends car of course) far too cold to sit outside.

  3. umm no you don't, its derelict, damp, cold and a long way from habitable. I used to think it would be wonderful to buy one of these little ruins and live happily ever after................20 winters later I've changed my mind. They are lovely to look at and make fantastic photos and paintings..............

  4. You are right. I want to live in the castle in picture 14. Along with my servants and minions.

  5. Yes, lol, without the dead birds, and with central heat, a thorough cleaning (special attention to spiders), and lots of velvet and tapestries.

  9. I wonder if anyone would be prepared to renovate and restore a place like this. Such a pity to let it go to ruin.
