November snow
We seem to have had this snow laying for ages now. I have cleared my path twice already only for it to be covered in fresh snow again.
This one's vista. I really like the fence that is the line-divide from the ground snow and the water/skyline. Along with the black of the trees framing the left side.
I've just checked the date on this and it was taken on 1.11.2010..................and now its almost Christmas...............that's a very long time to have snow laying continuously
Seven weeks of snow. It's that Greenland Block they are taking about, which is keeping the warm Gulf Stream from warming you. It's counter-intuitive, but many are saying this cold weather is a sign of global warming.
seven weeks and counting..............more snow fell today. Today I've cleared my path for the 4th time ! and the weather forecast predicts temp of -5 plus more snow fall through until after christmas. No sign of a thaw and yesterday my waste water pipes on the outside of the house froze for the second time. I love the beauty of this weather but the problems that come with it are beginning to make life very difficult I can't afford to get to plumber to unblock my pipes for a second time in less than one month.... I'm going to see if I can manage until it thaws. Thats a fun way to live....... it means remembering to empty ALL waste water down the toilet and not the bath or sinks, it means not using the washing machine or the dish washer because the water can't empty down the frozen pipes ... it floods my downstairs neighbour instead....It means baling out the bath down the toilet and remembering not to just pull the plug, it even means brushing your teeth while remembering that every drop of water must go into a bowl and be emptied down the toilet.........a shower is out of the question. Once every thing thaws and temperatures begin to rise we then have to worry about paying our heating bills. I've never had my heating so high for so long.............. But it is beautiful, I'm just editing some more photos to post asap :-)
