France; Fish, wildlife and garden ponds.

A collection of some of the wild life, including a big shiny blue beetle that I can't identify and some of the green frogs that make such a noise.

  1. I love how they've created a pond out of a paddling pool :-))

  5. That's a cool critter. These are more common in the Med countries, I think.

  9. Oh I had such fun there Brenda. My sister had set up this pond and collected her fish a couple of days before i arrived. She was told there were about 50 goldfish in all. I actually netter over 40 fry and when I tried to cound the adults i think it was nearer to 100 than 50. I spent at least an our or so every single day wandering around that pond feeding fish, catching fish and just generally admiring fish. I set up a nursery tank for the fry and a displat tank for about 6 of the prettiest adult fish.

  13. This looks like our five-lined skinks. They live under our front steps and startle us quite often.

  15. Hi Vero.. I loved the frogs out there too, the frogs and toads in this country don't have such bright colours. BUT.... I could not believe the noise these animals made, when I first heard them I thought it was ducks of even geese squawking..... what a racket they make and it just goes on and on and on.....
