France; Fish, wildlife and garden ponds.
A collection of some of the wild life, including a big shiny blue beetle that I can't identify and some of the green frogs that make such a noise.
Oh I had such fun there Brenda. My sister had set up this pond and collected her fish a couple of days before i arrived. She was told there were about 50 goldfish in all. I actually netter over 40 fry and when I tried to cound the adults i think it was nearer to 100 than 50. I spent at least an our or so every single day wandering around that pond feeding fish, catching fish and just generally admiring fish. I set up a nursery tank for the fry and a displat tank for about 6 of the prettiest adult fish.
Hi Vero.. I loved the frogs out there too, the frogs and toads in this country don't have such bright colours. BUT.... I could not believe the noise these animals made, when I first heard them I thought it was ducks of even geese squawking..... what a racket they make and it just goes on and on and on.....
I love how they've created a pond out of a paddling pool :-))
ReplyDeleteGreat collection of goldfish.
ReplyDeleteHe's quite a large frog.
ReplyDeletePoser :-))
ReplyDeleteWhat is that? Can't quite make out what it is.
ReplyDeleteLots of tadpoles.
ReplyDeleteNicely laid-out. The frogs will love it.
ReplyDeleteNice capture.
ReplyDeleteThat's a cool critter. These are more common in the Med countries, I think.
ReplyDeleteCute!! They certainly have a goodly selection of wildlife in that area.
ReplyDeleteits a newt mitch, we found a couple swimming about in the big pond with the fish so we rescued them and put them in the wildlife pond.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen so many goldfish!

ReplyDeleteWould the legs be on the French menu? *grin*
ReplyDeleteThey are very colourful; nice to watch.
ReplyDeleteLove that frog. None of ours have such vivid coloring.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like our five-lined skinks. They live under our front steps and startle us quite often.
ReplyDeleteWow, this place is alive ! Gold fish, frog, tadpole, lizard, newt and huge beetle. I love it.
