France; The House and Gardens
this is the bit where they live.
I have so many photos, it could take me a while to post them all.....but here are the first. These are all of the actual house, out buildings and gardens.
I'm very much afraid you are right.............I made a special point of checking on this tree every day to see it flower. I want one, but like you I don't know if it would live here. There was also a lot of lavender, some of it a deep purple pink, and that does live here so I'm going to try to find some of that too. also ( not shown) I saw a lot of passion flower.............would really like some of that. In fact, on reflection, it seems that if i can't stay there, I just want to bring as much of it as possible into my garden :-)
ummmmmmmmmmm...........think I forgot to mention I got sunstroke, yes, for the first time in my life the sun made me ill, really ill, I spent a day in bed with the headache from hell and shivering under blankets...:-(( how dumb was that?? i should have known better.
Hi Mitch.... No its a very dark purple pink lilac tree. I love that tree and looked at it all the time from my little attic bedroom window. Now I want a couple of lilac trees in my garden, as well as a wisteria, but not sure if wisteria would grow this far north.
I'm really impressed by this picture.
ReplyDeleteI lke this very much as well. I know they must renovate, but this is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLovely!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's just so magnificent. They had it in the south as we drove through, but I am sure it does not thrive this far north.
ReplyDeletewow. Great pic, great old building.
ReplyDeleteForget-me-nots and iris and other things. We are nowhere near to this - their climate must be much milder.
ReplyDeleteI know someone will paint it but there is a certain charm about it just the way it is now.
ReplyDeleteI hope not too and you've done a marvelous job of showing it off.
ReplyDeleteFantastic!!

ReplyDeleteI see you are like me - many shots of the same subject. It's so much fun and one is always surprised by the results.
ReplyDeleteNice. At 6 am I am usually asleep, but I might wake up for this view.
