  1. Lovely photos of a much maligned plant. They provide food for many birds and small animals. I notice their seem to be two types. Do you know anymore about what they are called?

  4. It is indeed a lovely flower, I like to see it in the wild; not so much in the middle of my flowerbeds. I am most familiar with the Milk thistle, Silybum. It is common in my area and also used as an alternative medication for liver health. I have made a mistake for years, I have been to Scotland, have a friend from there, and all of these years, I thought that Heather was the official flower. Now I find that is not the case, but it is still Norway's flower. I didn't even think about all the clues, from Coats of Arms, the football clubs and of course the Order of the Thistle. Live and learn, eh! Thank you.
