Robert Adam (3 July 1728 – 3 March 1792).
detail of interior design
Robert Adam (3 July 1728 – 3 March 1792). Scottish neoclassical architect, interior designer and furniture designer, noted for his almost obsessive attention to DETAIL.
Yes it is really beautiful and I don't think we have any thing else like it in the UK. This bridge has shops and houses built into it like they do in Italy, I am sure we could do this in our age if only any one wanted too, but I think more modern designs are more popular...............what a shame no one does great things like this any more.
This is wonderful For me, Adam's work, especially the attention to detail, is reminiscent of some of the work by William Morris. I enjoy seeing these pictures, especially since I have been considering a blog on William Morris. I am dazzled by Adam's Pulteney Bridge at Bath.
