Today I've been doing an 'Art Sunday' all of my own, which is why I didn't have the time to post my usual 'Art Sunday' here.
My granddaughter and I spend the day creating our own modest works of art on the kitchen table.
She did a colourful abstract and I attempted a seascape inspired by one of my own photographs taken last year.
Its just a sketch at the moment but I think I may develop it over the next week or so. If I do decide to work on this little sketch I'll be sure to share the progress.
But, if you want to see what a Scottish Seascape should look like, just check out this Art Sunday that I posted back in Aug 08.

The finished version of my granddaughters painting.
Sorry Nemo, just didn't get it together today but will be sure to come over and check out every one elses tomorrow
ReplyDeleteI think your sketch is great and your granddaughter adorable.
ReplyDeleteGranddaughter seems to be enjoying herself. My Erin like arts and crafts also.
ReplyDeletethis is so wonderful loretta thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty good for 'just a sketch'. I wish I had the slightest bit of artistic ability. I've never been able to draw or paint worth a damn.
ReplyDeleteYou both are fantastic artists!
ReplyDeletehow wonderfull
ReplyDeletehomemade art is the best
how fun
i really like what you both did
:)
sorry for what?
ReplyDeleteart sunday is not a chore
and time well spent with granddaughter is more important
i think it is a great post
:)
of course you are right Nemo, and it was a great way to spend Sunday
ReplyDeleteI would like a better view of your granddaughter's painting but what I can see I like very much.
ReplyDeleteAnd if your sketch is any indicator your painting should be magnificent.
A true Art Sunday spent making art with your lovely granddaughter. Time well spent. Thanks for sharing your day with us.
perfect!
ReplyDeleteGreat! Your work looks very good and it is a wonderful thing to help someone express their creativity.
ReplyDeleteThank you Narice, I've just added a picture of her finished painting at the bottom of the blog. These two very small canvases were bought at the local supermarket, they were really inexpensive and had an outline of a painting already drawn on it. Erin started out by saying she just wanted to colour it in but after a while she became bored and started adding bits of her own and changing all the colours. This was the result. she's away home now with her painting but i did managed to get this picture of it before she left.
