Sunset Forfar Loch April 2011

My daughter has at last moved to a bigger house. Now her children have a room each and every ones life is a lot easier. She lives about a ten minute walk from Forfar lock. On my first visit to her new house we took a walk around the loch as the sun was setting. What a beautiful place to live.

  6. Love the colours here: the russet-coloured grasses and the mauvy-blue of the waters and background clouds.

  7. More stunning colour - looking at it from an art perspective.

  8. This is gorgeous, Loretta. You do excellent 'silloutte' style 'scapes.

  9. Thanks Donna, I was quite taken with these colours. They 'look' like autumn colours but in fact this 'golden light' is the effect of the sun as it hangs low in the sky just before sunset. This effect only lasts a short while, and then the sun sinks and its gone, but I find this effect, the light just before sunset, particularly appealing.

  10. I think there was a bit of a haze hanging over the water that evening, it had been raining quite a lot during the day and then the temp rose in the evening giving this special effect.
