I suspect this is a very silly question but;.................is any one having serious problems with yahoo mail today?? Mine keeps refusing to respond and I have to reload the page over and over again. I'm just a bit worried in case it totally goes down, it's my only email addrerss and has loads and loads of stuff saved there which I would hate to lose, not to mention my address book. I know I should get another email address just in case but..........oh it would take for ever to transfer every thing.Any comments??..............I know this is yahoo but try not to be too rude please

ReplyDeleteI didnt have any problems with it this morning. Clear out your history and cache and try it again. Sometimes theres just too much temporary junk in your computer.

ReplyDeleteAlso mine goes a bit crazy when the weather is bad so it could be that.
mine seems to be working ok today,,perhaps you could copy your addresses into a word program,,that way you'd at least have those if it totally messes up,,i know what you mean by you'd hate to lose everything,,sorry i don't have any suggestions,,hope it straightens out for you, and soon

ReplyDeleteI keep getting messages that yahoo can't respond to my request. That is for anything other than a straight message with no images in it. I thought that it was because I am on a trip and connecting to it by wireless from a friends notebook, apparently not! Possibly, log out and log back in again.

ReplyDeleteI was having similar problems but eventually it got working. Yahoo mail doesn't let me into my mail the way I used to go in to it.
I have to click on the big Y that stands for Yahoo. Then the page with news and at the side is my mail log in. I usually get in this way but I still have to try to log on more than once.
You could also try restarting your computer. Your computer is probably lagging or Yahoo has some kinks to get out.
Is that co.uk, Loretta because I have dot com and no problems? I just don't like the new Yahoo, which is probably what Erika is referring to.
ReplyDeleteIt is Brenda .uk.co and until you mentioned it I never considered that the .co.uk could be reacting differently to .com but I suppose you are right. Also I have never upgraded to the 'new' yahoo email, I just stuck with the old one and untill today its been fiine.
ReplyDeleteI have experienced the occasional problem with Yahoo mail, though I know not why it happens. It could just be a glitch, so signing out and trying again might be something to try.
ReplyDeleteI find that when I have too many problems I tend to blame my old dinoputer. I clear my cache and pat old dino on the head and off we go again!
I was having problems but customer service told me to adjust my computer's settings to the new format of yahoo classic. To do that you go to view, slide down to encoding, then click it on Unicode - UTF 8
