  2. Great fun, I am an old movie trivia buff, so enjoyed this. Thanks Loretta.

Doris Day had an early film "By the Light of the Silvery Moon" in 1953; a musical film and the sequel to "On Moonlight Bay". Both movies are based (loosely) on the Penrod stories by Booth Tarkington. The great Gordon MacRae is her costar.

  4. If you mean Clark Gable's chorus line, that would be "Idiot's Delight" with Norma Shearer, released in early 1939, the same year as "Gone With The Wind."

  8. I've been an old Doris Day fan from childhood. Loved 'Calamity Jane' and I will still watch it if it comes on the tv. The other week I saw a movie of hers that I've never seen before and not a role I've seen her play, as she played a bit of a 'dame'. The movie was 'Love Me or Leave Me' and it had James Cagney in it. What intense performances, and it was very enjoyable. I also am a fan of Fred Astaire - dance on air.
