This was the day before Christmas Eve, snow and ice still covered the ground. The first few photos are of my garden. Then the seafront restaurant I went to for a christmas meal with my friend followed by a few shots of the snow covered boats in the harbour. After that ( pics no 1191-1202) are pictures of the beach at West Haven. The last two are pictures of my window from the inside showing the view through the dripping condensation on the glass

ReplyDeleteVery nice, cold photos!
ReplyDeletePretty. In Michigan, the condensation freezes to ice crystals. That's pretty too.

ReplyDeletelove this
ReplyDeletebrrr!
ReplyDeletei can feel how cold it is there.
ReplyDeletelacey ice!
ReplyDeleteI love these chains too and the ice in them makes them even better. . The are chains that go from the overhanging roof of the restaurant into the ground, they are made to be reminiscent of ships chains because the restaurant is on the seafront and called 'The Boathouse'. I think you would like this place.
ReplyDeleteoh, i am sure i would like it!
ReplyDeleteHi Bennett, Happy New year.
ReplyDelete..............brrrrrr ice on the inside
my daughter has ice on the inside of her windows but she is living in a cottage in the country. As a child ( pre-central heating days), we had ice on the inside every year, but you are right, its very pretty
Happy New Year Brenda. I don't think you need worry about the gull, they always find food, and he is hanging out next to the fishing boats and restaurant so he should find something.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad the snow avoided this area!!
ReplyDeleteI really like this shot, too!!
ReplyDeleteIt's similar to a restaurant that's part of a boating club near here.
ReplyDeleteCool view.
ReplyDeleteLove how the ice has formed between and within the chain-links :-))
ReplyDeleteSteelicle !! LOL.
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely :-))
ReplyDeleteAweigh with you!!
ReplyDeleteI see the pleasure craft far outnumber the fishing boats these days.
ReplyDeleteAre they inshore fisherman here, or the long-range trawlermen?
ReplyDeleteSeeing 'Arbroath' on the stern of that boat made me think of 'smokies' :-))
ReplyDeleteThose clouds look threatening.
ReplyDeleteLove the dappled sunlight.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sky!!
ReplyDeleteA sky of two halves :-))
ReplyDeleteThat's just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI could happily go walking along these shores :-))
ReplyDeleteIt was a great photographic day, so much variation of light, contrast and colour.
