This is the original Willow Tea Rooms as designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh over 100 years ago. The tea rooms were re-opened in the early 1990's. The interiors are intact and exactly as Mackintosh intended them. They are as stunning today as they were then, well worth a visit. Generally speaking Mackintosh is credited with every last detale of design but some of the interior design, the menue cards, linen, china, iron work etc, was in fact designed by his wife Margaret Macdonald, her sister Frances Macdonald and some of their friends from the |Glasgow School of Art
