  5. Ah what a fine tribute. This is chicken country, by that I mean lots and lots of chicken farms. As I was out and about yesterday I did notice that there is quite alot of chicken art as well. Non quite as lovely as your offerings but non the less chickiny....is that a word. Thanks. Nope I don't eat em.

  6. You beat me to it, Loretta! I was thinking of doing something similar although I never really participated either. Well, I'll still say a little adios too but with less class. You'll see!

  9. When I was a little kid, it was the little yellow chicken sitting on the top of the foil-wrapped easter egg that I preferred over the chocolate. These little yellows remind me of that. What a silly thing for me to remember!

  10. In Australia we call chickens 'chooks'. This is a rare chook, to be sure.

  12. what the 'chicken' song...I only do that at weddings after everyone has tucked into the champagne! When they make silly chooks of themselves. I did a blog once called 'those chook rhythms, it's kind of about how art can imitate nature - in other words I've heard some odd sounds in the current pop trend on the radio. Long story, you'd have to read the blog!
