AHHHH so this is the now famous quick note...ok so I've found how to post, but I still can't get a scroll bar down the side of the inbox OR media locker, so I can't scroll down and take a look at every thing. Guess I'll get used to the changes eventually.
Click on the multiply logo and it has a mini menu in it ........I love this.

ReplyDeletesea.......what is a custom filter and where is my filter list?? and when you say "get these" are you referring to PMs?? hate to sound so dumb....:)
ReplyDeleteOn the left side bar at the bottom is a section named Custom filters. In there you can create any filter you want to see whatever you want. And you can eliminate those people you dont want to see in your filter too. If you make a filter for quick notes tho theres a whole list of things like links, blogs etc there too.....uncheck all of them except the thing the filter is for, otherwise you will see everyones stuff still. But also I just found out at the top where it says inbox.....move the mouse over to the right of that word and the preferences section pops up.......open that an check all the things you want to see in you left side bar. If you do that you may not have to make a filter. You still might want to edit it tho.
ReplyDeleteWhat Multiply is giving us right now is the options to see just what we want to see and nothing else. But since we could see everything we now have to uncheck those options to refine our own personal site list. Its a bit tedious right now but once its set.........its really awesome. A number will pop up next to anything which will show you someone posted something so you dont have to scroll thru tons of stuff.
And I meant getting these ..........quick notes they are called.....thats where we are speaking now. Theres also now a tab for it on your main page too, not just on the sidebar.

ReplyDeletethank you, sea,,so if i am understanding correctly, the quick note goes out to everyone, unlike the PM which you select whom to send it to,,and do the quick notes go out to everyone we have direct contact with or everyone? guess i need to quit asking questions and do it and learn from mistakes,,again, ty for the info
ReplyDeleteNo you can tweak who to send it too just like your blogs. When you go to the notes section on your tabs on your page.......it will come up with choices for posting. Just pick who you want to see it.
ReplyDeleteI've always wondered what 'twitter' is all about ... thanks acustic..............now i know!! it's like this!! the walk was good but unfortunatly my scroll bar didn't make an appearance while I was out so i'm still stuck accessing this via my emails, but I'm sure it will get better..
