Painting the blue fence

I have started painting my fences today and as I sit here at the computer, taking a late lunch, mouse in one hand and sandwich in the other, this is what I found.

August Macke
(January 3, 1887 – September 26, 1914)
One of the leading members of the German Expressionist group Der Blaue Reiter (The Blue Rider). He lived during a particularly innovative time for German art which saw the development of the main German Expressionist movements as well as the arrival of the successive avant-garde movements which were forming in the rest of Europe. Like a true artist of his time, Macke knew how to integrate into his painting the elements of the avant-garde which most interested him.

  2. The blue fences are fabulous. I love your fence, as you know, you are in good company with painting your fence blue. The first picture looks somewhat tropical. But it is the second picture which captures me - light in front and showdows in back make me want to see who lives in the house, what is there. Just magnificent!!

Need to paint that ole fence, but I'm just feeling so blue
Maybe you can come over, I'll give my brush to you.

August Macke sees a fence all around his yard
Der Blaue Reiter see a fence all around the yard,
Needs to be painted. How about Avant-Garde?

The neighbors complain, say "Cease and desist!"
Neighbors want it to stop, say "Cease and desist"
"Can't paint this fence unless it be German Expressionist."

You want it done, come here and do it, by Himmel.
You want it done, come here and do by Himmel.
Otherwise shut up with all your senseless babble.

We have to be cheerful, that's what it's all about.
We must be cheerful, that's what it's all about.
