Blue and Green by the sea
Today there was no wind and the sun was hot. I walked into the town via the roads but walked back by the sea. These solid blocks of bright colour remind me of Rothco paintings
thanks Mitch, I'll take a look. and you are right, its not often that all conditions come together at same time to get a set of shots like this. There were no white waves breaking, not too many people around, no clouds and the sea was exceptionally bright blue. really enjoyed taking these
Yes, you captured the gull well in this 'still life' of a seascape. It's still because of the colour bands. It could be translated to a modern art piece and called the same as the photo collection title "Blue and green by the sea".

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely spot for walking.
ReplyDeleteOOOoooooOOOOOh! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI just want to sit here and listen to the waves and let the wind play with my hair. Smelling the salty breeze.
ReplyDeleteI did sit for a while Agnes, and it was lovely, ................don't you think these blocks of colour look like paintings?
ReplyDeleteThis is one of those times that words fail, but these are perfect examples of 'a picture is worth a thousand words'.
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean, they do look like paintings. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIt's not very often the chance comes to get so well-defined boundaries.
ReplyDeleteLove the lone gull.
ReplyDeleteMinimalist. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThere's a group on Flickr, called 'Less Is More' for minimalist photography...you should consider posting some of these to thta group.
