European Tour chief George O'Grady has turned down Donald Trump’s bid to host the Scottish Open, following the withdrawal of current sponsor Barclays. Trump is reported to have contacted O’Grady twice. "But there is no way the Trump course will be ready until 2014” says O’Grady. “So we're not going to go to his course, if we ever do, as it's too early."

Police Accuse Trump of Harassment
In a bizarre twist, documents released last week by Grampian Police revealed a long-running campaign of harassment by Donald Trump demanding that the constabulary step up patrols on his Menie Estate. The documents tell of a tense and difficult relationship, of Trump and his senior aides hijacking meetings, and of police attempting to ‘manage’ Trump’s expectations of NYPD-style policing.
And while police may be attempting to resist his demands, it’s clear that Trump does receive preferential treatment while residents’ complaints are often not taken seriously.

Take You’ve Been Trumped to the World
Meanwhile the film-makers who found themselves on the receiving end of police harassment, when they were famously arrested while filming the award-winning documentary You’ve Been Trumped, have launched a new crowd-funding appeal to take the film to cinema audiences worldwide. “We've been heartened, humbled and amazed at the response to the film” says film-maker Anthony Baxter. Inspired by the support of Michael Moore, Baxter is convinced there is now a real chance to secure a worldwide cinema distribution deal, but needs to raise around $40,000 to fund it.
An ambitious goal but un-missable opportunity to take the Menie story around the world. And there are enough loyal TUT supporters to make it happen! Those of you who have seen the film will know that it carries a powerful message, one that can help bring about change for the better, and one that resonates far beyond Scotland’s shores.
Please visit the You’ve Been Trumped fundraising page, make a donation if you can, and spread the word:

I've been a registered supporter of TUT for some time now, since reading one of your posts. I'll certainly be donating toward the appeal to get worldwide distribution for the documentary.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mitch...............did you read about the wind farm he is objecting too?? he has just sent a second letter to the Scottish Parliament objecting to the development.

Yes, I had heard about it. I agree with the first articles' summation that Trump is nothing but a hypocrite. He has no objection to ruining the Scottish coastline for his own ends.
ReplyDeleteI see the film will be shown in places like Taiwan. Let us know when you see it. That photo of him is priceless.
ReplyDeleteIt is always wise to remember that The Donald is a manipulator, a hypocrite, a liar, brutal and considers himself entitled. Showing the film in The Hamptons NY is an excellent move. The Hamptons are the seaside playground for the super wealthy from the NY area, Long Island, NY. Since this story is getting no coverage in the US, perhaps some word of mouth will get the film in theaters.
ReplyDeleteI get the distinct impression you don't care much for Mr Trump :-)
ReplyDeleteyou're in good company, most of Scotland can't stand him either
What a goatsucker!! He is making an environmentally unfriendly golf course and objects to wind turbines?? Most of us despise him over here. There must be something you can do.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the links. And good luck. (That dead animal on his head looks ready to take off.)
oh I wish...............my hope is that he will eventually get bored with the constant opposition, I get the impression he doesn't cope well with the word NO. I think he expected to be able to buy every one off the way he has done in the past. The concept of some local, traditional people preferring their 'slum' as he called it to unlimited amounts of his money is something he doesn't understand, totally outwith his realm of comprehension. Part of the reason he is so angry is because he is utterly baffled at people valuing something more than money. He's so bloody stupid he thinks they are just holding out for more.............idiot that he is
ReplyDeleteMaybe he will fall off a cliff. Not that I would wish anyone ill, but.....
ReplyDeleteneither would I .... obviously.... but the North Sea is a pretty inhospitable place.............and VERY cold..............I mean... hypothermia type cold
ReplyDeleteWow - he could hypothermic to death!! Or drown. How unfortunate. The entire world would mourn.
ReplyDeleteyou think??
ReplyDeleteI might shed a tear. One. Maybe.
ReplyDeleteyou are a far more loving and sympathetic soul than me...............but there again...........he is on this side of the Atlantic more now so I guess you can afford to be forgiving
ReplyDeleteWell, he is a human being after all and what was it John Donne said? Ask not for whom.... Wait a minute!! IS he a human being?? That thing on his head - OMG!! Maybe he's not. Maybe he's a - oh I can't say it!!! A cockroach!!!!!!
